Limpias     Herbal baths of the Andean Highlands
When the past stays with you, it can sometimes harm you, so the teaching goes. In Ecuador, a person may ask for
plants from curanderas  for emotional reasons as well as physical. This shining light of a woman gives you exactly
what you need. Herbs, along with prayers of intention, can help one cleanse in a powerful way. Here is an Andean
Highland herbal bath recipe. The herbs of Pachamama  have been given for us to honor and utilize in many ways.
First, do the Sour Bath, then, wait one day and do the Sweet. Kneel in a tub. Pour bath over your head, front and
back of body while praying to let go of the past. Do not rinse off these cleansing waters. Allow yourself to air dry.
For each bath, boil herbs in plenty of water until steeped. Cool to a comfortable hot temperature
before using. Use as many herbs as you can find.
