In the garden

No longer time to hesitate
move ahead
instinctively
each step
you can sense in the flaps
whirs
syncopation and buzz
listen beyond this moment
winging inside
unrestrained purpose,
unseen strength
a conscious rhythm surfacing
in birdsong
our breath
tree shadows
our hearts
green dappling light
tomato leaf and garlic scent
dirt and water
the steps you take
earth on your knees
the whole Universe
inside you
dreams become real
a star bursts in daylight
the seven sisters whirl
across the heavens
and tree roots move
very slowly
deeper as your path
reunites with the Mother
