Margaret Gilfoyle, Breath of Light Facilitator, Usui Reiki Master, Shamanic Healer
The Breath of Light modality was transmitted to Margaret in 2003 in a series of near death experiences, three humbling energetic shifts where she was virtually bedridden, simultaneously a new born baby and an incredibly huge, open, super-sensory being. The most prominent constant experience was energetic sensitivity, feeling oneness with all beings to an extreme degree, affirming with great certainty that when one person is hurt, ALL feel it on a very real level. We truly are all connected, through the matrix of peoples’ energy systems all over the planet, sensing pain, euphoria, and everything in between.
“My heart chakra was especially open. I was receiving guidance to go outside in the morning air and breathe through it. This Breath of Light pattern was an exquisite feeling I will never forget. I felt I could begin to float. I saw my chakras expanding out three feet in front of me, and light blue Beings were all around me. These were the Beings of Light who wished for me to begin working on people with the Breath of Light. This work was my next path.”
She received messages for clients to breathe in through different chakras, visualizing the same streams of light she could see flowing into these chakras: then to exhale their breath into different areas of the body, or out through the chakra(s). As Margaret communicated these messages to the client and they did the breathing patterns, the areas showed accelerated progress, often huge release, often reversing chronic conditions which had been held in the body such as asthma,heart palpitations, back injury, eye conditions, headaches, cancer, reproductive challenges,digestive difficulties, anger, depression, alcoholism, smoking cessation, imprints of others’ energies, past life trauma and more.
She has since facilitated thousands of in person and phone sessions, as well as group classes, intensives and Breath of Light Clinics. In 2008 she produced the Breath of Light ~ Chakra Breathing for Accelerated Healing Three CD set of interactive healing sessions, and presented the Breath of Light at the International New Age Trade Show in Denver, Colorado, and the Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Fair in Ft. Collins, Colorado 2008 and 2009. She has published several articles, has been interviewed on KVNF Public Radio in Paonia, Colorado on energy healing, with upcoming March 2010 interview in the Ouray County Ridgway Sun and Ouray Plaindealer newspapers in Colorado.
Margaret’s study and training in energy medicine grew out of an awareness of great sensitivity since she was a child. She studied English at the University of Northern Iowa and University of Iowa within the Undergraduate Poetry Program with emphasis in Creative Writing. In 1990 her professional energy medicine training began. She is a Level Three Healing Touch Practitioner and Usui Reiki Master Teacher. She trained with South American traditional healers Don Alberto Taxo, Ipupiara and Cleicha and others, and has spent much time immersed with indigenous spiritual traditions, receiving initiations and learning healing practices. The work of the Breath of Light, however, comes through the beautiful teachers the spiritual Beings of Light, and the Grace of Divine Light guided through them.
I am simply open – to an energetic discernment which assists people in their own empowered healing and transformation. I am told by clients and participants that what I have witnessed in sessions/workshops have become profound changes in their health and lives. This work is one of the greatest joys of my life. As so many are working in transforming the scope of health care and medicine, it is also my hope to continue to refine and deepen the Breath of Light work, helping change the awareness of what is possible, working in gratitude with Universal Light.
