Fresh Basil Marinara

Fill your kitchen with the joyful fragrance of fresh basil and tomatoes...

2 tbsp. olive oil
5 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
1 yellow onion, chopped
1  28 oz. can diced or crushed tomatoes in puree
1 handful fresh basil, finely chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil
pinch or two crushed red chilies
Saute garlic and onion in olive oil over medium high heat in medium sauce pan
until translucent and beginning to brown. Lower heat to medium low, add
tomatoes, basil and crushed red chilies and simmer, stirring occasionally at
least 20 minutes.
